Leadership

Peter Wills, Chairman
After graduating from university, Peter continued his training with a London-based software house, working on contracts within the fintech sector.
A move to Bristol enabled him to take up the post of Head of IT with a transport planning consultancy and Steve Jenkins was appointed soon after. With the launch of various desktop computers in the late 70’s, the embryo of a business plan was formed to develop business software products in a newly formed software company.
Over the next 10 years, a number of products were developed including workstudy measurement, marine stability and specialised areas of job costing. However, the most successful product was for questionnaire design and analysis, which had been prototyped in 1980 for a conference, and ended up as our biggest selling product. Soon after, the company was renamed as Snap Surveys.
The company is based in Bristol, UK, and has a US office in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, that supports both North and South America.
More recently, Snap TechLabs has been formed to create safety and security business tools for clients such the UK Health and Safety Executive and the Office of the Nuclear Regulator.
Peter has also contributed to the broader research technology community through his extended role as Chairman of the Association for Survey Computing, a leading group for the advancement of knowledge in software and technology for research surveys and statistics. He has also collaborated as the author of 2 books on market research in association with academic partners.
