The Snap Surveys Research Team use Dynamic Smart Reports to Deliver Tailored Feedback to UK Schools

The Youth Sport Trust wanted to assess sport provisions in every UK school. They asked us to survey over 21000 UK pupils, and provide personalised reports to every participating school. The research team used Snaps Smart Report feature to quickly produce consistent reports in high volumes with guaranteed accuracy. Once the Smart Report template had been set up and the data collected, we produced all 1933 reports in less than two hours.

Each personalised report included:

  • Benchmark comparisons in key areas
  • Commentary, charts and tables
  • Highlight of key results
  • Specific sections for primary and secondary schools

“Snap were an extremely helpful organisation to work with. They were flexible in meeting our requests, and were quick to suggest alternatives or help us identify the best way to conduct this survey. They produced three high quality reports and were happy to take on feedback to adapt these to best suit our organisation. Alex from the research team was great to work with; he maintained frequent communication throughout the project and quickly responded to last minute requests for help! We would definitely work with snap again on similar projects. “

About the Youth Sport Trust

The Youth Sport Trust (YST) is an independent charity devoted to changing young people’s lives through sport. The YST aims to help all young people to achieve their full potential in life by delivering high quality physical education and sport opportunities.

Project background

The YST approached Snap Surveys to help them run their first national survey of PE and sport provision in schools, to determine what PE and sport are offered to pupils, the quality of sport provision in schools, the impact that this has on pupils’ lifestyles and overall development within school. The target group for the project was all maintained schools in England.

The survey would be run online and would be voluntary. As an incentive, each participating school would receive a free, personalised, benchmarking report to help assess their current PE and sport provision and to make plans for the future. Each report should highlight key results to individual schools and include benchmarks for comparison to regional and national averages.
