Web accessibility standards have been created as part of the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) of the World-Wide Web Consortium (W3C) to ensure that web content is accessible to everyone, regardless of disability. In the U.S many of these requirements are enshrined in section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act.

Snap Survey Software is able to produce questionnaires which meet or exceed the highest level of web accessibility. It is able to produce questionnaires which meet Level 3 compliance (sometimes known as AAA compliance).

Producing questionnaires to such a demanding standard can largely be done automatically by choosing the appropriate web publication options. Some though require care from questionnaire authors in avoiding certain layouts and applying appropriate settings.

The following documents describe in detail the requirements for each of the different levels of compliance. They point out areas for questionnaire authors to be aware of and identify which settings need to be applied in Snap to ensure that the appropriate level of compliance is met.
