These are: <strong>the<\/strong> <strong>Design<\/strong> mode where you can add and modify individual questions and the <strong>Style<\/strong> mode where you define the look of the question types used in the questionnaire. Style mode allows you to change the questions appearance and create a customised question style using your organisation\u2019s branding such as font, colour scheme and background.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>   In this tutorial, the style mode is used to show how to customise check boxes and radio buttons in the closed question styles including Multi Choice, Single Choice, Grid and Semantic Scale styles. In Snap XMP Desktop, the default style is a check box for multiple response questions and a radio button for single response questions. Snap XMP Desktop provides image files that you can use for check boxes and radio buttons. These are in pairs, comprising an empty and a checked\/selected version of each graphic. You can: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>     use the defined pairs of Snap XMP Desktop box graphics   <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>     combine the Snap XMP Desktop box graphics into different pairs   <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\n    use your own graphics\n  <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>   The Snap XMP Desktop graphic box naming convention is used to define pairs of check boxes and radio buttons. If you create your own images, using the same naming convention will let you see them in the list of On and Off images when you browse for them. Groups of check boxes and radio buttons with the same name will be synchronized, if this option is selected. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><tbody><tr><td><\/td><td><strong>Checked<\/strong><\/td><td><strong>Unchecked<\/strong><\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Check box<\/strong><\/td><td>check-Name-on <br>check-Name-x (cross) <br>check-Name-t (tick)<\/td><td>check-Name-off<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Check box (Rounded square)<\/strong><\/td><td>checkRS-Name-on <br>checkRS-Name-x <br>checkRS-Name-t<\/td><td>checkRS-Name-off<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Radio button<\/strong><\/td><td>radio-Name-on <br>radio-Name-x <br>radio-Name-t<\/td><td>radio-Name-off<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Once the new question style is complete you can save the new style to use in other questionnaires or create a Survey Template based on the questionnaire. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 1: Setting the box images<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\n  In this tutorial, a <strong>Multi Choice<\/strong> question style is used and the boxes are set to a specific image in <strong>Style<\/strong> mode.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\n  In the Questionnaire window, click <strong>Style Mode <\/strong>\n  <img decoding=\"async\" width=\"26\" height=\"26\" src=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/stylemodeicon-png.png\" class=\"wp-image-6941\" alt=\"StyleModeIcon.png\">\n   on the <strong>Questionnaire<\/strong> toolbar.\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\n  Select the Multi Choice question. Selected questions are highlighted in red in <strong>Style<\/strong> mode.\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\n  In the Question style list, select <strong>All \u2018Multi-Choice\u2019 Styles<\/strong>. This opens the <strong>Image Properties<\/strong> dialog.\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"349\" height=\"222\" src=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/imagecheckboxes1-png.png\" alt=\"ImageCheckboxes1.png\" class=\"wp-image-6945\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/imagecheckboxes1-png.png 349w, https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/imagecheckboxes1-png-300x191.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 349px) 100vw, 349px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"8\">\n<li>   Click <strong>Browse<\/strong> to select a new image for the boxes. Snap XMP Desktop checkbox images are stored in the sub-folder Styles\\Checkboxes of your installation folder. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\n  Select the folder containing the image size you want then select the image style required.\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"356\" height=\"320\" src=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/imageproperties2-png.png\" alt=\"ImageProperties2.PNG\" class=\"wp-image-6946\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/imageproperties2-png.png 356w, https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/imageproperties2-png-300x270.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 356px) 100vw, 356px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"10\">\n<li>\n  Set a color in the <strong>Colourize Gif<\/strong> field if you want to match the box color to your branding.\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\n  Click <strong>OK<\/strong> to use the selected style for checkboxes and radio buttons in all your multi-choice questions.\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\n  Click <strong>OK <\/strong>again to return to the questionnaire. All the Multi Choice questions show the updated check box images.\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 2: Saving the new question style<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\n  You can save any changes as a question style so they can be re-used.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\n  Make sure you are in <strong>Style<\/strong> mode \n  <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"26\" height=\"26\" src=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/stylemodeicon-png-1.png\" class=\"wp-image-6947\" alt=\"StyleModeIcon.png\">\n   and select the multi-choice question you have changed.\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\n  Click <strong>Style Organizer<\/strong> \n  <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"27\" height=\"26\" src=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/stylepickericon-png.png\" class=\"wp-image-6948\" alt=\"StylePickerIcon.png\">\n   on the Questionnaire toolbar. This opens the <strong>Style Organiser<\/strong>.\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\n  The style of the selected question is highlighted and an image of the question is displayed in the Example pane.\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"515\" height=\"316\" src=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/styleorg1-png.png\" alt=\"StyleOrg1.png\" class=\"wp-image-6949\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/styleorg1-png.png 515w, https:\/\/www.snapsurveys.com\/support-snapxmp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/styleorg1-png-300x184.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 515px) 100vw, 515px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"4\">\n<li>\n  Click <strong>Properties<\/strong> to open the Style Properties dialog \n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\n  Change the <strong>Name<\/strong> to describe the style. \n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\n  Click <strong>OK<\/strong> to save your style.
