Survey responses saved in Snap WebHost can be downloaded and imported with a single click \u2013 there’s no need to log in to Snap WebHost to access new survey replies. Just link your survey and Snap WebHost account, and you\u2019ll be notified as soon as new survey data is available. You can also export survey response data from Snap Professional, for example to provide a respondent with access to their survey response. This step-by-step guide shows you how to:<\/p>\n

    Note<\/strong>: This step-by-step guide describes how to retrieve online survey replies using Direct Download<\/a>, available for surveys created in Snap Professional builds 11.18 and newer. Click here to upgrade to the latest build<\/a>.\u00a0 You cannot use Direct Download with surveys created in older versions of Snap Professional.<\/p>\n

    These steps assume you are\u00a0already familiar with publishing a survey<\/a>. For an overview of publishing options, view the Questionnaire Properties<\/a> interactive tutorial.<\/p>\n

    <\/a>Step 1 – Link your survey with a Snap WebHost account<\/h3>\n
      \n
    1. Click \"QuestionnairePropertiesButton\"\u00a0to open Questionnaire Properties.<\/li>\n
    2. Select the Replies section.<\/li>\n
    3. Select\u00a0the ‘Direct Download’ checkbox. Survey responses will now be stored in Snap WebHost, and can be downloaded to the survey for analysis.\n

    4. Now you need to specify the WebHost account to which this survey will be uploaded. Click \u2018Change Account\u2019.<\/li>\n
    5. Publish and upload the survey<\/a>\u00a0to the specified Snap WebHost account.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      <\/a>Step 2 – Download data into\u00a0your survey<\/h3>\n

      1. Open the survey into which you wish to import the survey response.\u00a0If \u00a0responses are available, the Direct Download button will turn blue:\n

      2. Click \"DD\"\u00a0to begin Direct Download. Any new responses will be downloaded and imported into Snap desktop, ready for analysis.<\/li>\n
      3. If you want to export the data from Snap Professional eg to provide a respondent with access to their survey responses, you can export the data in order to provide a copy of it to them by following Step 3 below.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        <\/a>Step 3- Optional export of some or all of the data<\/h3>\n

        1. Click on the Data Entry icon in your survey \"data_entry_icon\".<\/li>\n
        2. Click File<\/strong> followed by Export.<\/strong>\n

        3. Choose the format you wish to export to.<\/li>\n
        4. Specify the location where the file will be created.<\/li>\n
        5. Enter the case number as your filter using the expression: case={case number}, or leave the filter blank to export all the data.\n

        6. Click OK.<\/strong><\/li>\n
        7. Check the file you have created to ensure it contains the data you wanted to export.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
