Enable respondent login/identify respondents |
Check this box if you want respondents to log in. This will only work if you create a database link in Snap to inform Snap WebHost about the respondents. You may create it when you publish the survey or upload it later (Changing or editing the respondents for a live survey using a database link, Uploading the new respondent file). |
Allow multiple responses |
Check this box if you wish to allow multiple copies of the questionnaire to be completed by each respondent. It is only available if Enable respondent login are checked. (Multiple responses are always available from anonymous respondents). |
Include respondent details in survey data |
Check this setting to copy the login details into the returned case data. If this is not set, the respondents can be authenticated through the login process but remain anonymous at the analysis phase. |
Anonymous response |
This option ensures respondent identifier information is not included in the response data (only used for the purpose of invites, logins and seeding). |
Running partial responses |
Check this option if you want to give the respondent the ability to stop and subsequently restart answering the questionnaire. The precise behaviour varies according to whether logins are used or not and is described in the separate section on Partially Complete Responses. |
Email responses |
Check this box if you want responses emailed back to you as soon as they are collected. |
Save responses |
Check this box if you want responses cached on the server ready for you to download at any time. |
Private (slower) images and multimedia files |
Check this box if you want external files such as images, audio and video clips to be stored within Snap WebHost and only visible to a survey respondent. |
Loop back to start after each iteration (only visible for iterative surveys) |
Check this box if you are running an iterative survey and wish the respondent to be presented with the start of the next iteration as soon as they have completed the previous one. |
Partial responses
The settings for Running Partial Responses determine whether partially-completed surveys are available for analysis, and whether logged-in respondents can resume their survey where they left off. It saves the survey every time a respondent moves to the next page or when they close the window.
If the survey has a [Save] button (specified in the Buttons section of the Questionnaire properties in Snap), all respondents can resume saved surveys from where they were when they saved it, whether they were logged in or not. The partial survey is also available for analysis.
Partial survey data is only lost if there is no [Save] button AND partial responses are not enabled on Snap WebHost.
