Objectives

This course has been designed to enable the delegate to:

• Understand the basic interaction between Snap and mobile electronic interviewing
• Create questionnaires suitable for mobile electronic interviewing
• Publish surveys to different mobile electronic interviewing devices
• Import data into Snap
• Create multiple language surveys for Kiosks

Audience

This course has been designed for existing users of Snap Software who are looking to design surveys specific to Offline Devices including PDA’s, Kiosks, Laptops and Tablets.

This course is suitable for users who have attended a Level 1 Snap Training course.

Introduction to Mobile Interviewing concepts

• Understanding the difference between PDA, Tablets, Laptops and Kiosks
• Preparation for Mobile Interviewing
• Applying ‘must answer’ settings to a question
• Validating open ended questions with patterns and valid ranges
• Validation for closed questions using masks, auto-answer, min, max and exclusives
• Text substitution
• Code and grid rotation
• Derived variables
• Multi-language surveys
  

Publishing questionnaires

• Publishing settings
• Transferring a questionnaire to an offline device
• Viewing and completing an offline questionnaire

Data collection

• Importing replies and data collection from all devices
• Synchronization and file transfer from PDA’s
