Snap Pro

Professional Edition

The Snap Professional Edition is the core software product incorporating paper and phone surveys. The software enables you to design and publish your questionnaire, collect replies and analyze the results to produce tables, charts and statistics. Snap also provides the ability to read and update Excel Spreadsheets along with MS Access and SQL database tables (e.g. Oracle, MS SQL Server, etc.) and is compliant with the Section 508 Access Boards standards and the W3C Web Accessibility Guidelines. Questionnaire design

  • Survey wizard for easy questionnaire creation for paper, web, e-mail or phone.
  • Multi-mode functionality allows the same questionnaire to be prepared for different publication modes (e.g. Web, paper, PDA) concurrently.
  • Multi-language functionality enables the same questionnaire to be produced for different languages (e.g. English and Spanish) concurrently.
  • WYSIWYG questionnaire design and printing.
  • Buttons or right-mouse button style definitions.
  • Use questions from Demographics and Lifestyles SurveyPak question library.

  • Minimum and maximum number of responses - set these for each multiple response question and Snap will ensure that the respondent has not marked too few or too many options.

Data entry

  • Statistics on crosstabulations: Chi square, Cramers V, Phi coefficient, Contingency coefficient, significance tests and confidence intervals.

Tables

  • Choice of crosstabulation, frequency, grid and holecounts.
  • Results expressed as row, column or total percentages, or as expected or index values.
  • Results can be ranked and zero suppressed.
  • Predefined table templates which are customizable and re-usable.
  • Question responses may be dynamically split, combined and regrouped to construct multi-way analyzes.
  • Maximum size table of 2,000 rows by 2,000 columns.
  • Maximum of 125 characters for definition of analysis, break or filter field.
  • Maximum of 8 digits in a table cell.

Literals

  • Full listings of all literal responses, printed or exported to a word processor.
  • Selected listings based on "keyword" searches or by use of filters.
  • Recoding of key words to form additional derived variables.

Volume report production

  • All tables, charts and statistics stored with each survey for instant recall.
  • Batch operation to generate large volume reporting in a "macro" style.
  • Creation of electronic (Adobe PDF) versions of all results for distribution to colleagues.
  • Snap E-viewer software distributed free for easy access to tables, charts and statistics.

Charts

  • 2D and 3D bar, pie, line, area, step, scatter, radar, donut, gantt and hi-lo charts.
  • Predefined chart style templates which are customizable and re-usable.
  • Chart titles, footnotes, bar and sector labels, values and percentages, background colours and images.
  • Pictograph bar charts using BMP and WMF image files.
  • Perspective rotation and modification of light source location and intensity on 3D charts.
  • Wizard for easy chart creation.

Import / Export

  • Raw data can be imported into Snap in a flat ASCII file, comma, tab or space separated. Excel data will be accepted as text fields rather than codes.
  • Results can be exported to other software packages for further manipulation – Triple S, SPSS SAV format, Office products.
  • Export of results as HTML files for inclusion on websites.
