Internet Module

The Snap Internet Module is an add on to Snap Professional Edition enabling users to conduct e-mail and web surveys. It is compliant with, and can publish web questionnaires compliant with, the Section 508 Access Boards standards and the W3C Web Accessibility Guidelines. For specific details see the Snap Web Surveys and Web Accessibility Standards document. The Module allows you to create questionnaires for publication on Internet and/or intranet web sites, as e-mail attachments and plain text e-mails. Replies are then automatically imported into Snap.

Questionnaire design

All the features of Snap plus:

  • Publish same questionnaire simultaneously in Web, paper and email formats.
  • Use appropriate HTML formats such as radio buttons, drop-down lists etc.
  • Use supplied templates in standard Snap Questionnaire Design window to generate HTML and / or text e-mail questionnaires.
  • Include jpeg, gif and animated gif images into HTML questionnaires.
  • Include routing and skip patterns in HTML questionnaires, together with 'Must Answer' options.
  • Include page breaks.
  • Specify the controls that the respondents see. E.g. only allow 'Next' button.
  • Automated publication of web surveys with routing, 'Must Answer' checks, data validation etc.

Dynamic design and validation

  • Use derived variables (calculated from previous questions) within the questionnaire to manage dynamic text substitution and routing.
  • Answer masks on multi-choice questions enable you to add or remove available answers by the responses to previous questions
  • Patterns for open-ended questions allow you to validate the response against preset and user-defined patterns (e.g. social security number, zip code, etc)
  • Range checks
  • Minimum and maximum number of responses - set these for each multiple response question and Snap will ensure that the respondent has not marked too few or too many options.
  • Identify exclusive answer choices - e.g. if "None of the above" is selected then all other answer choices are automatically deselected.

Data collection

  • Respondents enter replies directly into questionnaire.
  • Automatic collection of respondent data from inbox.
