Peter Wills takes over as Chairman of the Association for Survey Computing (ASC)
Peter Wills, the Chairman of Snap Surveys Ltd, has recently been elected as the new Chairman of the ASC, and takes over from Laurance Gerrard who has been the Chairman for the last 3 years.
Formed in 1971, the Association for Survey Computing (ASC) is an important discussion forum for the various disciplines within survey research and statistical computing and aims to keep people up to date with the role of computers in all aspects of the survey research process. It organises regular conferences, workshops and evening meetings on key topics within the industry, and publishes a definitive guide to current survey and statistical software.
Peter says “It is certainly a very interesting time to be Chairman of the ASC as the research market is moving-on rapidly with the take-up of different technologies. As the role of the traditional researcher changes we need to be in a position to promote innovation and best practice in survey computing.”
Peter is also a Senior Visiting Fellow at Southampton University’s Business School and is joint editor of the European edition of the seminal research handbook, Malhotra’s “Marketing Research, An Applied Approach”.
