Snap Survey Software enables customers to design and publish questionnaires in a range of modes (i.e. paper, web, mobile, PDA, phone and kiosk), enter respondent data and produce tabular and graphical analyses. Due to our continued success and growth plans we currently have a vacancy for a Support Technician.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This challenging role involves providing staff and customer support by telephone, fax, email and in person to all levels of users. You will need to have an enthusiastic manner, patience, a methodical problem solving approach and first class communication skills. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure are also attributes needed for this position.

The position would suit a recent graduate in an IT or related subject, and/or someone holding a Microsoft Certification. We are looking for someone who is passionate about IT systems and software and who is able to empathise with the people we serve.

The helpdesk operates between the hours of 9.00 to 17.30 Monday to Thursday and 9:00 to 16:30 on a Friday. You will be based at our offices in Thornbury, near Bristol, together with the rest of the IT Services team.

Other responsibilities:

  • Liaising with the software development team if bugs are reported
  • Deliver consultancy sessions, both at Snap Surveys and clients sites
  • QA testing new versions of the software
  • Out of hours support of our IT systems and web servers
  • Other duties at the request of the IT Manager

Full training will be given on the use of Snap Survey Software and office procedures.
