Focus on: Using slider controls in electronic surveys

Snap web questionnaires can now incorporate slider controls as well as the more traditional radio buttons and check boxes. But if you build sliders into your questionnaires, are you alienating particular respondent groups, or improving the respondent experience for everyone? This article presents the results of a research experiment conducted by Snap's technical Director, Dr Steve Jenkins, and Snap user Dr Nicola Stanley, comparing responses to two questionnaires: one using standard radio buttons, the other using visual slider controls.

Worksheet on Generating scheduled survey invites and reminders

Snap Online can send out email invitations and reminders automatically. It keeps a record of which respondents have completed the questionnaire, and reminds those who have still to complete it. Respondents will not necessarily have to log in to the survey, as you can set up the link to the survey to identify them automatically. Read More
