26th June: Analysing satisfaction questions – scores and ratings » View this webinar
(please note the webinar may take a minute or so to download)
Scores are a way of summarising your data for analysis. You can assign a score to each question code, and then calculate analyses using the score instead of the code.
Snap Training Consultant Marc Ellison, and Samantha Jewell from the US support team explain the principles, and then show you how to do this in Snap.
Scores are generally used for scoring satisfaction surveys, positive ratings are given positive values and negative ratings are given negative values. You can then
summarise the whole satisfaction by calculating the mean of all the cases to understand whether people are generally satisfied or not, by how high or low the mean is.
We'll also look at applying scores and using medians instead of means to overcome issues with assigning values to semantics. Also using t-Test with means and U-test with medians as a measure of certainty.

6th September: Rim weighting explained » View this webinar
Rim weighting is one of the most requested Snap analysis worksheets. Rim weighting in Snap uses a mathematical algorithm to help you provide an even distribution of results across an entire dataset. We'll explain in more detail why you might use rim weighting to improve your analysis, and how to apply it to your analysis in Snap.
Rim weighting provides an even distribution of results across an entire dataset while balancing certain categories such as age or gender to pre-determined totals.
How you might use Rim weighting - if you wanted to weight your samples so that they were 50% male and 50% female, and also 20% in each of five age brackets, the algorithm would calculate a weighting that needed to be applied to each table entry (combining age and gender).
